Rumor: Assassin's Creed III Set During American Revolution
Promotional artwork obtained by a Best Buy employee suggests that Assassin’s Creed III will take place during the American Revolution.
The image shows a new assassin, presumably another of Desmond’s ancestors, standing in front of the original Continental flag.
The character appears to be Native American based on his weaponry and adornments, though this has not been confirmed. According to the source, the assassin holds a tomahawk that was not caught in the image.
Ubisoft announced earlier this month that Assassin’s Creed III will release on Oct. 30.
